Biography and Curriculum Vitae
Julie Elliot expresses her ideas in a variety of media including acrylic paintings, printmaking and mixed media. Her imagery is marked by strong flat shapes, line and pattern within a richly textured surface. Julie completed a Diploma of Fine Arts (Honours) in 1990 from Okanagan College and continued with selected studies at UBC Okanagan. Her work has been exhibited at the Kelowna Art Gallery, Vernon Art Gallery, Penticton Art Gallery, Lake Country Art Gallery and in numerous juried exhibitions throughout British Columbia. She has also taught art classes and led art retreats for over 20 years. Julie’s work is included in private collections internationally and in the permanent collections of the Kelowna Art Gallery, UBC Okanagan, the Governor General of Canada and Lake Country Municipality. She currently shows at Gallery Odin on Silver Star Mountain, Vernon, B.C.
